About

rooted in Aloha, built on excellence

Cherishing the spirit of Aloha while delivering world-class music education.

Everything begins with love and authenticity.

Here, we nurture each student’s individuality, uncover hidden tones and talents, and create moments where music becomes truly joyful.

Our lessons combine deep care with solid technique.

We don’t just teach notes — we recognize the sensibility and artistry within your voice and fingertips, and bring them to life. Rather than a one-size-fits-all method, each lesson is designed uniquely for you. That’s why music here feels more inspiring, more free.

With proven methods backed by years of experience, you will feel steady growth — and at the same time, rediscover the simple joy of loving music.

This is the heart of the Na Leo Aloha Artist Program.

Your time here is more than just lessons.

It is the beginning of a meaningful journey — one where your own music takes flight.

About Me

I began studying piano at the age of four and later graduated from a music high school (Music Education major) and a professional music conservatory (Vocal Performance & Master Course).

During my conservatory years, I actively performed as a Soul and R&B singer. I also worked as an assistant singer and keyboardist with a well-known music production company, taking part in studio recordings, and performing as a background vocalist for professional Jazz singers, Rock bands, and Soul artists.

Over the years, I have guided more than 1,100 students — from beginners to professional singers, voice actors, and narrators — helping each discover and develop their own unique voice.

2025〜

As a vocal coach, I have worked at major music agencies in Tokyo, youth training schools, music colleges, and private music schools. My teaching has included not only vocal training, but also gospel choir, songwriting, piano & vocal performance, and band ensemble.

In New York, I trained under world-class artists, including the music director of Roberta Flack (the Queen of R&B), a Grammy-winning gospel singer from Kirk Franklin’s ensemble, and a background vocalist for Stevie Wonder. I also studied vocal anatomy for singers in New York. As a vocalist, I performed on numerous stages across the city, participated in a gospel choir in Harlem, and appeared as a soloist in churches and at venues such as Cipriani.

As a music director (vocal coach, arranger, pianist, and conductor), I founded and led a gospel choir of approximately 50 members, performing and teaching throughout Tokyo.

After relocating to Hawaii, I resumed vocal coaching both in-person and online.

I later founded the NA LEO ALOHA Artist Program in Hawaii.

About Me

Naho Kjonegaard began studying piano at the age of three and spent 15 years building a strong foundation through private lessons. Starting in the fifth grade, she attended a preparatory program for music school, and continued to study piano as her major throughout middle and high school, immersing herself deeply in the world of music.

After graduating from university, she returned to the path of teaching piano. She also earned a preschool teaching license and gained valuable experience in early childhood education. Later, as a mother of four, she dedicated 15 years to parenting and homeschooling. This experience has given her a natural ability to understand children and connect with each student in a caring and supportive way—something that greatly enhances her teaching as a piano teacher in Hawaii.

Since 2023, Naho has resumed her work as a piano instructor in earnest. Her lessons are known not only for building a solid musical foundation, but also for nurturing children’s sensitivity, creativity, and natural charm. She values each student’s individuality without comparison, helping them grow in confidence and self-expression through child-focused music lessons.

“My wish is for children to truly enjoy music and to live a life filled with it. I cherish each child’s unique potential and teach with warmth, patience, and love.”
